Students (5e) took part in a worshop to give them an experience of what it is like to be an asylum seeker, the workshop drew on the real expereinces of someone who went through the progress of clamining assylum.
Students got to see what sort of organisations were involved in the process of gaining asylum with some students taking on the role of actual asylum seekers and others taking the role of the organisations that would try to help them.
The students enjoyed the event a lot and had a lot of fun while gaining insight into the issues surrounding asylum seekers and the struggles they face. (Matt Taylor, NTS)
